A 5' partition along the back wall divided the garage bays, preventing easy access between bays; although covered in
peg board, this wall was basically unused. The Garage-Guru cut down this wall to a 2' width, still providing support for the woodpile, but now
allowing easy traffic flow between the two garage bays for both people and dogs.
Of major concern were the large boxes stored in the garage. The Garage-Guru built a customized shelf system to conveniently store these crates at the back of one of the garage
bays. Accessible by a heavy-duty dolly, the boxes are now both convenient and out of the way.
|
The entire left bay was cleaned out. The existing peg board on the outside wall was fully exposed and used more
efficiently; the dog walk to the outside was tidied up and utilized for under-stairs storage; the contents of the existing
upper shelves at the back of the space were itemized and subsequently purged or stored.
A support structure was built underneath the existing ceiling shelving to maximize space at the rear of the garage.
This now holds the 1/2 cord of wood, which had been haphazardly stored at the back of the other garage bay.

Bulky and heavy, these boxes take up a huge amount of space. They definitely need a permanent home other than the
middle of the garage!
|

The new structure for the wood pile is divided into two sections - 'green' wood and dry wood. This fits perfectly
underneath the existing shelving. Efficient!
|
|

The right side of the garage was completely underutilized, with random objects leaning precariously against the finished
wall. Full trash barrels and boxes of recycling materials filled the entire rear of this bay.
|

The Garage-Guru
attached wooden strapping to the wall at various heights to hold multiple hanging tools. Rakes, shovels, gardening equipment,
lawn furniture - narrow items that fit snugly against the wall.
The trash barrels are conveniently placed under the new shelf, with the recycling boxes on top - all conveniently handy
to the door for easy access.

A mess contained only by the garage wall and the 5' partition.
|

A sturdy shelving system for the trash barrels and recycle boxes - utilizing the height of the garage instead of just
the floor.
The partition has been cut down, allowing better flow between bays, and the newly opened area is now home to the kids
bikes (suspended from the ceiling). With the woodpile moved to the other side, this opens up the back wall for storage
of the large boxes.

Here you can see the full extent of this client's 'stuff', and the unused 5' partition dividing the two bays. Again,
the back wall is not being used and the garage contents are spreading along the floor, preventing storage of the 2nd car.
|

Another sturdy structure buit by the Garage-Guru situated at the back of the garage. The shelving holds the client's business boxes - the larger
boxes stacked on the floor (accessible by dolly for easy removal to the truck), and the smaller boxes stacked on the upper
shelf.
